we waited until our final conversation with Microsoft Support regarding
the lack of an adequate back up program in XP Home, we would have known
that, if you explore the XP Home Installation disk, specifically explore
(“Open” may cause things to run you do not want to run, so right
click and explore) the VALUEADD folder, then the MSFT folder, then the NTBACKUP
folder, then INSTALL the NTBACKUP program you will then have an adequate
back up program. This,
unfortunately, assumes you have the install disk.
If you got a restore disk from your manufacturer, or, as with
Dell, nothing, you may not have this option and all we said in the last
tip still stands.
